Brassica Research in California, Florida & Michigan
Ag Metrics Group has agricultural research stations in several states in the US, namely California, Florida, and Michigan.
Our research stations across the US are well equipped to conduct comprehensive brassica trials both in the field and greenhouse. Our most common brassica trials include vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, and Brussels sprouts. The agricultural research trials we perform cover a wide range of areas aimed at pest and disease management, improving yield, quality, sustainability, and resilience. Ag Metrics Group trials are essential in providing the critical data needed to refine and validate agricultural products. Data from our trials ensure that products like fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, and soil amendments meet industry needs while enhancing farming practices, efficiency, productivity, and sustainability. Through these research trials, Ag Metrics Group supports informed decision-making in the agricultural sector. Whether it be on pest management, disease resistance, sustainable production or precision farming, Ag Metrics Group will work collaboratively with you to develop appropriate protocols. By focusing on these specific conditions, we perform your research, so you can effectively explore and optimize factors that contribute to successful brassica production.
Brassica Timelines*
CALIFORNIA – We grow brassica crops in California all year. Fungal pathogens can be studied most of the year and can have especially high pressure in the cooler, wetter months. Most insect pests are present in the summer. FLORIDA – Brassicas commercial production is most common in the winter months which is when most trials occur. Some insect pests are more easily studied with higher pest pressure at the edges of the commercial production season in the spring and fall. MICHIGAN – Most trials are run in the summer. *General timings subject to current seasonal weather conditions |
