Our research group includes experts such as scientists, technicians, and agricultural advisors who focus on field and lab research for the fruit, vegetable, and grain sectors. Agronomy

Ag Metrics Group agronomy research involves management of laboratory, greenhouse (CEA) and field experimentation with a variety of crop inputs for plant health, soil stewardship, and even new farm machinery prototypes.

Biologicals

Ag Metrics Group offers testing services for both traditional agricultural chemicals and new biologicals/organic products. By incorporating biologicals, growers can enhance their chemical treatments, increase yields, and provide long-term protection for crops against insect pests and diseases.

Biostimulants

Ag Metrics Group conducts a comprehensive range of biostimulant studies to determine the best rates and use patterns required for best efficacy of product candidates.​ Our services include a full spectrum of trials conducted within our network of field stations with greenhouse facilities across the United States, offering a wide variety of crops, climate zones and controlled-environment conditions. 

Entomology

Ag Metrics Group entomology provides an uncommonly wide array of insect species testing in laboratory bioassays, greenhouse and field plantings. From our insectaries, we can also augment natural pest pressures when needed to assure field tests are successful.

Genomics

Ag Metrics Group bridges the gap between discovery and commercialization in plant trait development. With nationwide screening facilities, controlled disease testing, and regulatory expertise, we provide end-to-end solutions from lab transformation to field trials. Our specialized resources, including real-world greenhouse and field testing, help clients evaluate traits under diverse conditions. 

Nematology

Ag Metrics Group nematology research includes rearing and maintaining a dozen distinct nematode pest species that give our greenhouse and field trials excellent test conditions.

Our nematology research capabilities include:
  • A dozen pure cultures of the most important American nematode pest species 
  • Multiple Soil Extraction Methodologies
  • Root extraction and staining with enhanced imaging
  • Both In vitro and in vivo bioassays
  • Specialized soil application equipment including precision fumigation and deep soil injection

Plant Pathology

Ag Metrics Group plant pathology has a broad inventory of current disease pathotypes, qPCR monitoring, and the ability to research international plant diseases in multiple USDA APHIS approved structures nationally.​

Precision Agriculture

Ag Metrics Group helps clients develop new technologies in precision agriculture from early development through demonstration and adoption. In this program, agricultural best management practices are evaluated using advanced lidar, multispectral, and drone imaging technologies.
